All sorts of books we read this month. From classics to thrillers to the unreleased books. Something for everyone in Novel Ideas May 2017.

Kirsten’s Stack

This month I didn’t write as many posts because I was in Disney World with my family. I did, however, read a record number of books. Between the plane rides and reading while my kids were sleeping, I was able to chisel away at my stack. I found some beach reads to recommend in the process. Local Literary Watering Hole: Plymouth Meeting Barnes and Noble

What makes the Plymouth Meeting Barnes and Noble one of the best bookstores in the area?

Alright….I feel as though I am about to embark on a very taboo subject in the literary world. See, I believe in the mom-and-pop stores of yesteryear. It breaks my heart when I drive around and see them closing. My favorite toy store, Puns, has just announced it is shutting down after 40 years. Down the street, Bryn Mawr Hardware is doing the same thing, which is why I have guilt in admitting the following….. I frequently shop at Plymouth Meeting Barnes and Noble. I quickly adjusted and immersed myself in the novel. Continue reading “Into the Water by Paula Hawkins & 16 Other Books to Keep You Up at Night”

Chris Van Dusen’s New Book, Is Hattie & Hudson his best yet?

A review of Chris Van Dusen's New Book Hattie & Hudson. Non-Rhyming (shocking!) and written about a girl, this heartwarming tale is his best work yet.

Chris Van Dusen Visits the Main Line!

As you know from our previous post, Chris Van Dusen is one of my favorite authors. I had the honor and the pleasure of meeting Chris Van Dusen this past week when he came to my childrens’ school. He did a wonderful presentation that answered all the questions I ever had about how he started, where his ideas came from and why his new book,  Hattie and Hudson,  DIDN’T RHYME?
