Gorgeous Gender-Neutral Lion King Nursery
It’s been a while since we did one of our bookish bedrooms, but the Lion King movie had us itching to do another. We think that this gender-neutral Lion King nursery has a little bit of everything.
Now, you might be thinking “The Lion King isn’t a book!” which is exactly what I said to Jackie but she blew my mind with the following revelation: The Lion King is loosely based on Shakespeare’s classic play….Hamlet. HAMLET. No way, you might be thinking (I know because I said the same thing.) Yes way, is what Jackie will tell you to your face.
After doing a little research of my own (check out this article for further insights,) I was totally on board with the Lion King being our next Bookish Room. So if you have a little cub of your own, check out this gender-neutral Lion King nursery.

Let’s start with the neutral-toned animal bedding since that’s what inspired the color palette for the full room. I love that the illustrations are authentic animals rather than being overly cartoony. The colors are gorgeously natural and very soothing. The crib sheet I love most is on sale and might sell out soon, but I found similar ones here, here, and here.

For the crib, I like the idea of a lightly tanned wood that gives off serious nature vibes. This Ash wood crib can convert to a toddler bed too – hello practical! I love the idea of having cute animal heads guarding over little ones while they sleep. This set features a Zebra, Elephant, and Lion, of course,
With a baby, you will need plenty of storage, which is why I love the idea of this giraffe bookcase. It also adds a pop of color. Also high on my to-buy list would be this Zebra storage basket. I’ve never seen anything quite so stylish and cute!

Now that you have a bookcase, you also need a little reading nook for all those late-night feedings and bedtime stories. This rocking chair is slim and stylish and meshes well with the neutral color palette. When your little one gets older, he will love climbing into this playhouse and pretending to be on safari. And let’s not forget about this lion rocker. Another pop of color, and a fun toy that will keep your little one giggling for hours. A cute stuffed monkey (my son’s favorite,) a cozy rug and a rattan light help to round out the space.

You’ll most definitely need a place to store baby clothes and change diapers. I love this dresser for that – just throw a changing pad on top and you are good to go! These elephant diaper holders are beyond adorable and can be personalized! Of course, you need some art for those nursery room walls, and I just adore this baby animal picture set – at only $17 for all six it’s a steal that packs a big punch.
