March 2025 Reese Witherspoon Book Club Spoiler
Reese Witherspoon’s Book Club, Hello Sunshine, was the first of the modern celebrity book clubs to catch on in recent years. Started in 2017, her list features thrillers, romances, historical fiction, YA, non-fiction, and modern fiction.

Broken Country
Author: Clare Leslie Hall
Year: 2025
Genre: Historical Mystery Romance
Spice Rating:💋💋
Age Range: 16+
Plot
Set in 1968 and about a decade prior, this mesmerizing book examines both the loss of a child and the paths not taken. Beth and her husband Frank are still reeling from the unexpected loss of their son, when Beth’s first love, Gabriel Wolfe, comes back to town newly divorced with his own son in tow.
After an accident on the farm, Beth finds herself entwined in Gabriel‘s life once more. Between flashbacks to their former romance and previews of a murder trial, the novel explores the love Beth has for both men.
Trigger Warnings
Death of a Child
Why Kirsten loves it
Hall paints, such a vivid picture and explores Beth’s feelings so well that I forgot I was reading fiction. I cried on numerous occasions and was left wanting more.
It reminds me of Where the Crawdads Sing in some ways and The Light We Lost in others. The mystery of who was shot and why was a masterful narrative choice that kept the story moving at a clip. I would give this novel six stars if I could I truly couldn’t put it down. Gifted by Simon & Schuster

March 2025 Read With Jenna Book Club Spoiler
Jenna Bush Hager started her book club on the Today Show back in the spring of 2019. They are often more literary than Reese’s picks and cover various thought-provoking topics.

The Dream Hotel
Author: Laila Lalami
Genre: Sci-Fi
Release Date: March 4, 2025
More info: March 2025 Read with Jenna Book Club Pick
Plot
Laila Lalami is back with a unique story that she could only write. Sara has just landed at the airport when she’s pulled aside and told she’s about to commit a crime. How do they know? The Risk Assessment Administration has analyzed her dreams and they believe she’s going to harm her husband.
Now, she will be kept in a detention center for twenty-one days with other dreams (all women) who are trying to prove their innocence. The premise seems very similar to The School for Good Mothers. So I’m particularly excited Jenna picked this one.

March 2025 Good Morning America Book Club Spoiler
GMA’s answer to Read with Jenna was to host their own celebrity book club. This one launched in the Fall of 2019 and it’s probably the best one of the bunch. As of October 2024, GMA will also be announcing a YA pick each month.

March 2025 Oprah Book Club Spoiler
Oprah doesn’t release her book club picks in the same way as the rest of the celebrity book clubs. She picks them when she likes – on no timetable. Her picks often span multiple months for reading and discussion as well. The March 2025 Oprah Book Club pick is below.

Plot
Griffin’s memoir of her childhood trauma was recently chosen as an Oprah book club pick. It starts with her childhood in Texas and continues through her time in Virginia and New York, before circling back to address what made her run from Texas in the first place.
