Adorable and Modern Peter Rabbit Nursery for Your Baby

Peter Rabbit Nursery

Beatrix Potter’s Tales of Peter Rabbit are some of the most beloved stories in all of children’s literature. Her fantastic illustrations and Peter’s engrossing escapades have stood the test of time. This was our inspiration to create a Peter Rabbit Nursery.

I was so pleased when I learned there was going to be a movie adaption of the series and I rushed out to see it with my boys on opening weekend. The movie thoroughly modernizes Peter Rabbit and his pals for the children of today. Their antics were a bit more up to modern standards, and while I fear Ms. Potter might not love them all, my kids and I were guffawing with laughter.

Inspired by the studio’s refreshing take on the tales, I was inspired to create a nursery that took the spirit of our favorite rabbit and modernize it for families in less traditional homes. We hope this nursery can inspire you to create a garden oasis at home for your little ones. And, if you haven’t seen the movie yet, we highly encourage you to do so!

Peter Rabbit Nursery Furniture and Bedding

This classic crib has details that remind me of a garden fence. It is perfect for your baby. When it comes to crib sheets, there is literally nothing better than adorable bunny bedding. Finish out the bedding with a cute bunny throw pillow – complete with a cotton tail and this amazing storybook throw that is perfect for a snuggle!

Every baby’s room needs a dresser that can double as a changing table and we love this one. This rocking chair is the perfect spot to rock a baby to sleep. Doesn’t it seem like the perfect spot for Mr. McGregor to rest after a long day in the garden?

Let’s talk about how cute these rabbit photographs are, I mean, what is cuter than a bunny butt? We also think this bunny light is oddly reminiscent of Beatrix Potter’s original drawings too. Add these handmade stitched vegetable hoops and you have the perfect spot to store baby’s goodies.

We also love the idea of this bunny mirror somewhere in the room. The whimsical ears add a bit of fun to a classic design shape. Galvanized steel letters bring the perfect garden accent into the room and would be perfect to spell out your baby’s name on the wall or a bookcase. And speaking of bookcases, this one reminds us of a garden trellis and would look perfect with these adorable rabbit bookends.

How can we talk about nursery design without including a mobile? This one is fantastic! My mommy trick? Don’t hang it over the crib where it can distract the baby from sleeping, opt instead to hang it over the changing table to keep the baby entertained during diaper changes!

Your child will need a spot to crawl around on, and this patterned rug reminds us of garden grass and flower trellises. Leave these soft vegetables on the floor as an added accent. They make fun, but safe tummy-time play items that can later be used in a toy kitchen!

The beautiful wall decor has one of our favorite quotes from the series. It says “Even the smallest one can change the world.” We love this wire basket for storing board books in too. Perhaps these Peter Rabbit ones?
