About Jackie Robins

I am Jackie Robins, Co-Founder and Editorial Director of Beyond the Bookends. Let me tell you a little about myself.

I have an Honors Bachelor of Science from the University of Toronto and a Master of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders from the University of Western Ontario.

I have worked as a speech-language pathologist for more than 20 years in and out of schools across the Philadelphia region. I specialize in language learning and I love that I can use my expertise here at Beyond the Bookends.

Growing up in Toronto, my love for reading became a lifelong passion. In my time in regular and special education classrooms, I have integrated my love of books into creating language-based learning opportunities. I will give you expert advice on how to use books to facilitate language learning in infants and children.

I use both my excellent organizational skills and my passion for reading to keep our editorial calendar fun, educational, and on schedule, even while Kirsten is putting the phone in my face for social media.

I currently reside in the Philadelphia suburbs with my husband, three children, 2 dogs, and my cat.
