Jimmy Fallon Book Club: Complete List

Celebrity book clubs are becoming ever more popular, with the late-night talk show hosts getting in on the reading action. The Jimmy Fallon Book Club, sometimes called Fallon Summer Reads, launched in 2018. But I had a hard time finding all the books in one place, so I made a complete list of the Jimmy Fallon Book Club picks.

Jimmy Fallon Book Club List

Beginning in the summer of 2018, Jimmy picked six books and had fans vote for the one they wanted to read together. Fallon would have the authors on his show to talk about the book. With the success of the first year, Fallon did this again in the summer of 2019. In 2020, the book club had a forced break, but Fallon picked it up again in 2021. In 2022, Fallon made the executive decision to choose the book he wanted to read.

The book club took a short hiatus in 2023 before returning full force in 2024. In the spring of 2024, the picks had a “sweet sixteen” twist. Fallon gave 16 books to choose from rather than just five or six. The summer of 2025 was back to the usual list of books from which viewers could choose. Because fans and viewers were choosing from a list of popular books, it is no surprise that Kirsten and I loved these books. You can see my Tonight Show Book Club Reviews if you want to check them out.

While we are eagerly waiting for the choices for the 2026 Fallon Summer Reads picks, it is the perfect time to have a look at past choices. Do you have predictions or suggestions?

BTB Elements and icons 10

The Jimmy Fallon Book Club is unlike other celebrity book clubs because he gives the readers a part in choosing the books! What does this mean? The books chosen are popular fiction picks. Often, summer is the only time people have to read, and decision fatigue is a real thing. I think the brilliance and appeal of the Jimmy Fallon Book Club is that you are reading one book a year that is almost guaranteed to be a great one.

  • The Fallon Summer Reads book club started in 2018
  • Fallon has chosen one book in 2018, 2019, 2021, 2022, and 2025
  • Fallon chose two books in 2024 after a one-year hiatus
