Once again, I’ve rounded up the books that will be chosen as October 2025 book club picks by the Reese Witherspoon, Oprah, Read with Jenna, and GMA Book Clubs. These have NOT yet been officially released (as of now, they are all being announced on October 28 and November 4) but I am fairly confident in our intel.
While you are waiting to read these releases, I suggest using these spoilers to put in your library holds early and get to the front of the list. You can also check out the rest of the November 2025 new book releases.

November 2025 Reese Witherspoon Book Club Spoiler
Reese Witherspoon’s Book Club, Hello Sunshine, was the first of the modern celebrity book clubs to catch on in recent years. Started in 2017, her list features thrillers, romances, historical fiction, YA, non-fiction, and modern fiction.

Plot
This novel is unique, compelling, and unputdownable. It’s the story of a tiny island near Antarctica that holds one of the world’s seed vaults, a place that holds the last parts of life should the world be destroyed. Due to climate change, the island is being swallowed by the sea, and the caretakers and scientists need to pack up the seeds to prepare to move them to a new location.
But the isolated island holds lots of secrets – including that none of the scientists remain, the communications lines to the outside world no longer work, and now a mysterious woman has washed ashore with secrets of her own.

Why Kirsten loves it
I can’t stop thinking of this INCREDIBLE story. The premise, the set-up, and the writing combined to create a narrative that held me captive and had me gasping and crying in equal measure. I felt the ending in my bones as I reluctantly turned the last page. I’ll be recommending this book for years to come. #gifted
Why Jackie Loves it
This is a unique story that is scary in how relevant this story is with its references to fires and climate change. The story immediately captivated me, but I was even more invested with every chapter. This is a dystopian mystery thriller with family drama all rolled into one powerful book. The end had me gasping. #gifted

November 2025 Read With Jenna Book Club Spoiler
Jenna Bush Hager started her book club on the Today Show back in the spring of 2019. They are often more literary than Reese’s picks and cover various thought-provoking topics.

But Eniiyi wants to be her own woman, free from Monife’s shadow, out from under the 2 generations of women she’s living with, and without the curse of being unlucky in love. When she falls for the man that she rescues from drowning, she goes in search of answers to get all that she wants.

Why Kirsten loves it
After My Sister, The Serial Killer, I will forever read anything that Braithwaite writes, and this story about a family curse does not disappoint. I felt for each generation of women as they dealt with the superstitions in their own way. I loved the multiple timelines and narrators as each gave such depth to the story.
And that ending! Loved it! Braithwaite truly writes scenes that are so vivid in your imagination that they stay with you long after the final page has been turned.

November 2025 Good Morning America Book Club Spoiler
GMA’s answer to Read with Jenna was to host their own celebrity book club. This one launched in the Fall of 2019 and it’s probably the best one of the bunch.

Plot
This story takes place two years after the events of Sandwich at Rocky’s family home in Massachusetts. Willa is home from college, and Rocky’s dad, now a widower, has moved in with her and Nick. Jamie is living with his girlfriend in New York. When a local man, Jamie’s old school mate, dies in a railroad accident, Rocky starts a new obsession. She cannot get it out of her head and neither can Willa.
This book, unlike Sandwich, follows Rocky and her family through an entire season, rather than a week. It looks at family dynamics and what happens when a member of your family does something unexpected.

Exploration of anxiety
Why Jackie loves it
Newman’s signature wit and humor and present in this book; however, this book deals with anxiety and the toll it takes on Rocky. Because we are exploring this over a longer period of time than Sandwich, the book has a more serious feel. I like the way Newman explores family, relationships, and anxiety. Newman also explores family dynamics in a deeper way.

November 2025 Oprah Book Club Spoiler
Oprah doesn’t release her book club picks in the same way as the rest of the celebrity book clubs. She picks them when she likes – on no timetable. Her picks often span multiple months for reading and discussion as well.
