70 Agatha Christie Books in Order (+PDF)
Agatha Christie has written so many books that it is practically impossible to read all the Agatha Christie books in order. But the good news is you do not have to. I certainly didn’t.
Agatha Christie’s Thirteen Problems, which stars Miss Marple, was the first adult mystery book I ever read. My dad, a huge mystery reader, handed it to me when I was in Middle School and I’ve been a fan ever since.
Since then, I’ve read dozens of Agatha Christie books. In addition to listing all her books in order, I’ve included my personal favorites in a ranked list as well.
Worldwide, Agatha Christie’s books have sold more than 2 billion copies. Her play, The Mousetrap has been watched 10 million times in London since 1952, and she has been translated to over 100 languages.
Outsold only by the Bible and Shakespeare, Agatha Christie is the best-selling novelist in history. And Then There Were None is the best-selling crime novel in the world.

10 Best Agatha Christie Books
Murder on the Orient Express by Agatha Christie
This is a classic and a must-read on our list of detective books. It’s one of those books that unless you know the ending, you would never guess it. So well-devised, this book is a definite favorite and it all takes place on a train in the middle of a snowy tundra.
Will you be able to guess who the murderer is in this locked room mystery before the famed Hercules Poirot? This is one of my favorite adaptations of the Hercule Poirot books.

A mysterious person is trying to right the wrongs of the past by luring unsuspecting criminals to a deserted island…and then murdering them one by one. But who is the killer? Why are they killing? And just how long have they been stalking their prey? You have to figure out whodunit in this unreliable narrator book.
Why Kirsten loves it
This Agatha Christie book is one of the best stories she has EVER written. It was fast-paced, totally engaging and I did not see the ending coming. Each murder was more clever then the one before. Check out the black and white movie based on the book. It’s great!
Why Jackie loves it
A classic for a reason, Agatha Christie broke the mold with this book. It’s one of the most well-plotted mysteries I’ve ever read.

Death on the Nile by Agatha Christie
Agatha Christie is the queen of mysteries and this story is no exception. Set aboard a river yacht during a trip down the Nile, a murder unfolds and Hercules Poirot must solve it!
I did NOT see the ending coming, that’s for sure. This boat book was recently adapted for Amazon and it was delightful to see it brought to life.
A Pocket Full of Rye by Agatha Christie
This book is Agatha Christie at her finest, a layered murder mystery that opens with murder by tea!! If you are a mystery lover, you must read a pocket full of rye. It’s the perfect one-sitting read and one of my favorite Miss Marple books. Just no poison in your tea, ok?
Hercule Poirot’s Christmas
Author: Agatha Christie
Year: 1938
Genre: Mystery
More info: Hercule Poirot #20

Simeon Lee has issued a demand for all four of his sons and their wives to return home for the Christmas holidays. Instead of a happy family reunion, he insults and belittles his sons before informing them that they have been cut out of the will. Is it any surprise when he ends up dead and Hercule is called in to investigate?
Why Kirsten loves it
Another wonderful mystery by Agatha Christie. I just adore her mystery books because I am always stumped! They are generally very quick reads, which is why I was able to start and finish this book on Christmas Day. Once again Poirot solves the mystery quite quickly and uncovers many family secrets along the way.

The Murder of Roger Ackroyd by Agatha Christie
I like Miss Marple, but Hercule Poirot is my favorite Agatha Christie character. In this mystery, Poirot has been recruited to solve the murder of Roger Ackroyd in the middle of a small English village.
Plot
Recently made into an Amazon movie, this story is quite clever! It features a serial killer known as ABC, who murders in alphabetical order. Poirot solves the case, of course, but it was such a unique premise.
Why Kirsten loves it
Nobody does mysteries like Agatha Christie and this book is the perfect example. It is so original and smart.
