Once again, I’ve rounded up the books that will be chosen as June 2026 book club picks by the Reese Witherspoon, Oprah, Read with Jenna, and GMA Book Clubs. These have NOT yet been officially released (as of now, they are all being announced on June 2), but I am fairly confident in our intel.

June 2026 Reese Witherspoon Book Club Spoiler
Reese Witherspoon’s Book Club, Hello Sunshine, was the first of the modern celebrity book clubs to catch on in recent years. Started in 2017, her list features thrillers, romances, historical fiction, YA, non-fiction, and modern fiction.

Plot
Eunice Cater is the assistant district attorney for New York City and Manhattan’s first black female prosecutor. She wants to take down Lucky Luciano, who is the head of New York’s largest organized crime family. Polly Adler has a high-class brothel business, but when Lucky goes too far and puts her girls in danger. Polly wants to see him taken down. Eunice and Polly will work together to get a conviction.

Jenna Bush Hager started her book club on the Today Show back in the spring of 2019. They are often more literary than Reese’s picks and cover various thought-provoking topics.

Plot
Guinevere narrates this story in the past and the present as she grapples with the events of her childhood, looking back as an adult with a new perspective. The daughter of a celebrated children’s author, Guinevere, and her brother, Ennis, were the inspiration behind her mother’s fantasy stories – but her childhood was vastly different than the idyllic portrayal in Edith’s novels.
Now, as an adult, Guinevere is promoting her memoir, which paints the same pretty picture as her mother wanted – even in the darker moments, like when her childhood home burned down with her parents inside. But when Ennis’s art show threatens to expose the truth behind their childhood, Guinevere is forced to reconsider her past.

Why Kirsten likes it
I’m all over the place about this story. Albert is a gifted writer who painted a portrait of the house in the woods so vividly that I could picture it in my mind, but the dark underbelly left me so unsettled that I had trouble sleeping while reading it! The story is so unique, and I certainly didn’t see the ending coming. I’d recommend this one for fans of darker fairytales! Gifted by William Morrow.

June 2026 Good Morning America Book Club Spoiler
GMA’s answer to Read with Jenna was to host their own celebrity book club. This one launched in the Fall of 2019, and it’s probably the best one of the bunch.

Plot

Why Jackie loves it
This is my favorite book Monaghan has written. I loved the relationship between Dolly and Stuart. They learn to understand what the other needs in the relationship. This is not a knight in shining armor situation- even if there are parts that give “Pretty Woman” vibes. #gifted

Oprah doesn’t release her book club picks in the same way as the rest of the celebrity book clubs. She picks them when she likes – on no timetable. Her picks often span multiple months for reading and discussion as well.
