wedding date

The Wedding Date (The Wedding Date #1) by Jasmine Guillory

This was such a fun read- it was perfect to take with me for a weekend away.  When Alexa gets stuck in an elevator with Drew, she makes the crazy choice to accompany him as a fake wedding date to a wedding the next day.  If you love fake dating books, this is one of the books like The Love Hypothesis you must read.

What she didn’t account for was the fact that there might be some real attraction between them.  She is a good girl and he is a commitment-aphobe.  Can they make it work?

This is the first book in the Wedding Date Series so if you are reading Jasmine Guillory books in order, this should be #1 on your list.

The Proposal

The Proposal (The Wedding Date #2) by Jasmine Guillory

February 2019 Reese Witherspoon Book Club Pick

I read this book on one plane flight.  It was light, funny, and completely predictable.  When Nikole’s “boyfriend” proposes to her at a baseball game and cannot even spell her name correctly, it is a recipe for disaster.

Luckily, Carlos and his sister are at the game to help Nik escape the onslaught of paparazzi waiting.  You can guess the rest.  This is a great light read and the perfect pick from a list of romance books to read in the summer.

the wedding party

The Wedding Party (The Wedding Date #3)

I am a huge fan of Jasmine Guillory books and this one was no exception. Maddie and Theo have nothing in common other than the fact that Alexa is their best friend. They agree to put aside their differences in order to share responsibilities for Alexa’s upcoming wedding.

But, when sparks fly, they agree that those wedding responsibilities will be a lot more fun if they give into their chemistry. This enemies-to-lovers romance is a fun and spicy read.

Royal Holiday

Looking for a last-minute Christmas Read, New Year’s book, or the perfect holiday book? Royal Holiday was the perfect first read for winter break.

When Maddie gets Kirsten’s dream gig (styling a Royal or let’s face it, hanging out with a Royal), she brings her mom, Vivian, with her to England. ⁣Vivian meets a very handsome gentleman who happens to be the Queen’s private secretary.

Sparks fly but will this be more than just a holiday romance? This adorable read is a perfect holiday/vacation read, especially for those who love a royal romance, and is a must-read for anyone who loves Emily Henry Books. Whether or not you are reading the Jasmine Guillory books in order, this romance will be a perfect holiday read.

party of two

Party of Two (The Wedding Date #5) by Jasmine Guillory

Olivia Monroe does not have dating in mind at all. She has just moved to LA to open her new law practice and she has to make it a success. But, when she meets Senator Max Powell she is drawn to his humor and intelligence.

Because of his high-profile job, they have to keep their relationship a secret. But, when they go public, things erupt in a way Olivia never thought possible. I love how each Jasmine Guillory book has a completely unique trope

while we were dating

While We Were Dating (The Wedding Date #6) by Jasmine Guillory

Ben is trying to focus on building his career in advertising when he gets the chance to work on a huge campaign that happens to feature Anna Gardiner, a movie star. The two have undeniable chemistry but need to keep it professional. Anna is trying to become a megastar.

This Jasmine Guilllory book has a little bit of everything: fake dating and office romance, all while dealing with some more serious issues like mental health.

Drunk on Love by Jasmine Guillory

Drunk on Love Jasmine Guillory

Jasmine Guillory never fails to entertain with her romances. This is definitely hot and steamy and is a perfect romance to go on our list of fiction books about wine.

Margot noble works in Napa at her family’s winery. When she meets a very handsome stranger and they have a steamy one-night stand, she thinks she will never see him again until he shows up at the winery the next day as the new hire.

Obviously, this can become a very bad situation. The chemistry between these two is undeniable.

Isabelle was overjoyed when she landed her dream job in publishing as an editorial assistant. She is also the only Black employee. She has been waiting for a promotion for two years and decides she will earn that by going to the mansion of a celebrity with an overdue memoir. All she has to do is give him the right pep talk to encourage him to write the book.

This task is not as easy as it seems. Beau is standoffish, stubborn, and difficult. Soon Izzy finds herself living in his house and helping him with his book. The forced proximity helps her find something that she needs as well- the confidence to ask for what she wants. You’ll love this fairy tale retelling of Beauty and the Beast!
