What is Percy Jackson and the Olympians About?

Why Jackie loves it
I don’t think anyone has read this middle grade fantasy series and not loved it. It’s a contemporary Greek mythology retelling for the ages. It is fun and exciting!
Adaptation Information
While the original films based on the books are generally considered to be flops, the show adapted on Disney+ is fantastic! Season 2 is currently being filmed and will follow the second book in the series.

I was happy to revisit the characters in this series and while this book is not my favorite in the series, we do get reintroduced to some characters from the second book that I was happy to see again.

Percy is back in the fourth book of the Percy Jackson and the Olympians series and this is my son’s favorite book in the series. Percy and his demigod friends must enter the Labyrinth to stop Kronos’s invading army. Kronos is a very formidable foe which makes the book unputdownable.
Why Jackie loves it
I love this book as well. The labyrinth is a very fun and unique setting. We get to meet new characters as well. Rachel becomes a new major player in the series and is one of my favorites.

I do not want to give too much information because we don’t want to ruin this amazing book. Everyone from every original Percy Jackson book appears in this book. It is a classic story of defending yourself against evil.
Why Jackie loves it
There is nothing not to love about this book. When I first read it, I was so upset that this was the end of the series and I am so happy that there will be three new books in the Percy Jackson and the Olympians series.

This 6th book from the Percy Jackson series is as good as the other Percy Jackson books and will not disappoint. It is still written for the same audience and is not darker than the other books.
