When it comes to mythology retellings, Rick Riordan can’t be better. My kids also loved that Percy Jackson makes an appearance in this one.

Plot
The Kane siblings need to stop Apophis from rising and destroying their world. To do so, they try to revive Ra, the sun god, who is essentially a senior citizen by going in search of the Book of Ra.
Why Jackie loves it
Because there’s a lot of humor, this story is fun to read – particularly Ra’s portion of the story.

Plot
Once again, the Kane siblings are on a quest to stop Apophis from destroying everything. The adventures they get into are fun and it’s great to see Carter and Sadie get the help of all the other Kane Chronicle characters.
Why Jackie loves it
The siblings are badass in this one. It’s a good ending to the series as it flushes out the characters. It also has some of my fantastic scenes in the series.
