Off-Campus Series Order
I created this list of the Off-Campus Series in order for all the girlies new to Elle Kennedy’s Briar U universe. As an OG fan of the series and its spin-offs, I am the perfect person to be your guide in this interlocking world.
I fell in love with Elle Kennedy’s series after I read the first book, The Deal, and have been reading them religiously ever since. As a huge fan of the steamy college romance, I can tell you this is one of my favorite series in the genre.
I’ve read every book in the series, and I’m in the middle of re-reading them for the Off-Campus character guide I’m also writing. So join me as a fan of Briar U hockey and let’s get into these books!
Off-Campus Universe at a Glance
Before we get into the order to read the Off Campus series, there are a few things you need to know. The series is currently 14 books deep and spans two generations of hockey players from Briar University, but the first generation is divided into two series.
The original Off-Campus series covers the first group and leads right into the Briar U series, which features the teammates and supporting players of the original, and even a sibling!. The Campus Diaries series and the stand-alone books are related to the children of the players from the first two series.

Publication Order vs. Timeline Order
Elle Kennedy recommends reading the Off-Campus series in order of publication, and we agree!! Legacy (Off-Campus #5) serves as an excellent bridge from the end of the first generation of players to their offspring. They also play off each other in terms of relationships, so if you don’t want to be spoiled about who ends up with whom, don’t read them out of order!
The nitty-gritty is that Logan, Dean, Garrett, and Tucker from Off-Campus are graduating adults during the Briar U series, but they haven’t gotten their full ending until Legacy (book 5), which takes place three years after Off-Campus has ended. The years before books 4 and 5 of the Off-Campus series are when the events in the Briar U series unfold.
The timeline then jumps twenty years and picks up with the Campus Diaries and the stand-alones featuring the next generation from both original series.
If you read the series in the proper order, you’ll see Briar U characters get introduced during the Off-Campus series, Off-Campus stars make cameos in the Briar U series, and see the main couples from Off-Campus and Briar U as parents to the children of the Campus Diaries and stand-alone books. It sounds confusing, but I promise it’s not, and it’s so rewarding to get a whole character arc like this (Garrett Graham as a dad is highly entertaining).

The Deal

The first in a series of books set in college about hockey players is also the series that got me hooked on the college romance books sub-genre! This one features a bunch of bachelor hockey players who are the campus hotshots.
To get the attention of the man she really wants, Hannah convinces the cocky captain to go on a pretend date with her in exchange for her tutoring services. Garrett is desperate to get his GPA up so that he can stay on the hockey team and play professionally when he graduates.
But when one kiss leads to a STEAMY hook-up, Hannah needs to reevaluate which man she wants.

It’s very similar to the How to Date a Douchebag series, but it has a bit more heart and a little less humor. This is one of the steamy fake dating books EVER but I loved it.
Adaptation Information
The Off-Campus series is now going to be adapted for TV on Amazon Prime Video in a Bridgerton style, with each season focusing on a different love story. Louise Levy, Wick Godfrey, and Marty Bowen will be producing it. Each book in the series will be one season. Ila Bright and Belmont Cameli will star as Hannah and Garrett in Season 1. Other cast members include Josh Heuston, Antonio Cipriano (Season 3’s lead), Stephen Kalyn (Season 2’s lead), Jalen Thomas Brooks (Season 4’s lead).

I adore Dean, and Allie has been Hannah’s best friend since the beginning, so I’m glad they end up together. I’m NOT ok with what happened to Beau though. Way to rip my heart out, Elle!

Despite being the third book in the series, Dean and Allie’s story will be the focus of Season 2 in Amazon Prime’s hit TV series, Off-Campus.

Elle Kennedy kills me every single time. This series features more of the hockey players at Briar U and the girls that they fall in love with. It’s a spin-off of Kennedy’s Off Campus series.

The books in this series are so hilarious but also swoon-worthy. There are also some serious sex scenes in here – so fair warning if that’s not your jam. This grumpy sunshine book is a great choice for a new adult romance.
