This is your companion guide to the Off-Campus series characters. The world of Elle Kennedy’s Briar U universe is complex and overlapping, so I wanted to help you keep track of who’s who in the book series.
If you are coming here after checking out the Off-Campus series order, you know that there are technically three series within the Off-Campus series. While the books all usually take place at Briar U, there are tons of characters that come and go, so it’s hard to keep track of them all.
Most of the characters in Elle Kennedy’s series are recurring, memorable, hot, and hilarious. I wanted to give a Briar U character list to help jog your memory, especially if you aren’t reading the story in order. And while this is not an exhaustive list, I hope it helps as you read the books or watch the hit Amazon Prime show.

Off-Campus Series Characters
The main characters change from book to book, but the core cast of characters pretty much stays the same, meaning you’ll get to see Garrett and Hannah in later books. The exception is some of the female main characters who don’t appear in earlier stories.

The Briar U series takes place after the events of Off Campus and features players who were underclassmen or minor characters in those books, including Dean’s sister, who jump-starts the series.

Campus Diaries Series Characters
This is the third series within the Briar U universe. The story is about the descendants of the original series and their group of friends. The first three stories take place at Briar U, but Love Song and Bad Idea are standalones that take place off-site, but still are about the children of the OG cast.

- Diana is a junior juggling 2 jobs, school, and prep for a ballroom dancing competition while being the captain of the cheerleading team. Shane is a hockey player who needs help getting over his ex.

Frequently Asked Questions
Who Are the Characters in the Off-Campus Series?
Louise Penny’s Chief Inspector Gamache series has a number of main characters. Armand Gamache is the main character of the series, along with his family and the residents of the village of Three Pines.
Are all the books in the Briar U universe from the same time period?
No, the original series, Off Campus, follows four best friends and hockey teammates. The second series, Briar U, follows one of their sisters and a crew of hockey players who were underclassmen in the first series. Campus Diaries follows the next generation of hockey stars and their girlfriends at Briar U, including Hannah and Garrett’s daughter!
