Cozy Fantasy Romance Books
I have read a lot of cozy fantasy romance books lately and wanted to make a list of my favorites. What are cozy fantasy romance books? I love that these two genres are coming together so often that we get to give them their own post!

These are sweet romance books with a small fantasy element that are perfect for anyone looking for a sweet, feel-good book. The books we have on the list do range in spice ratings, but none of them are extremely steamy. If you are looking for something a little steamier, check out my list of The Best Adult Fantasy Romance Books.
The fantasy element in these books ranged from magical realism to light fantasy. Meaning, some have some world-building, but these books feel more like a fairy tale than a book like The Lord of the Rings. If you are looking for more adult fantasy books, I have a fantastic list of books I have read and loved.

Why Kirsten loves it
The world-building on this charming romantasy reminds me of Animal Crossing in some ways. Delphie has just died and is in her pj’s in the afterlife when she meets the man of her dreams. Her hilarious afterlife therapist, Merit, is obsessed with all things romance so she gives her the chance to return to her life with the caveat that she has ten days to find this mysterious man and get him to kiss her.
That would be easy except for the fact that she does not know his last name and cannot seem to find him anywhere. Even worse, her therapist seems to be hindering her progress rather than helping. Delphie reluctantly asks her grumpy downstairs neighbor to help her. Soon, Delphie is making friends, loving life, and regretting shutting everyone out her whole life.

Delphie reminds me of a more loveable Eleanor Oliphant. Thanks to the love-obsessed afterlife therapist, this book is one part love triangle mixed with a little bit of forced proximity, and a whole lot of laugh-out-loud rom-com!

Plot
A fantasy historical romance about pirate assassins with magical powers? SIGN ME UP!
I gravitated toward this story because of the gorgeous cover, but I was hooked from the first page. I loved all the women in The Wisteria Society. I loved how they could fly around their homes like ships, how they stole and plundered with abandon, and how they did it all while making sure they were the picture of polite womanhood.
Why Kirsten loves it
The love story was charming, but it was the antics of Cecilia and her quest to save her fellow society members that kept me turning the pages. This cozy book has a little bit of everything. We recommend this book to anyone who loves The Princess Bride.
