When a friend had her second child when I was away on vacation. By the time I got back, her registry had been picked over and there wasn’t much left for me to purchase. What is a bookworm to do? I had to figure out what are the best books for baby girls.
I decided to make the whole gift a new library. While there are adorable gender-neutral baby books and baby boy books, I wanted her to have some really girly options as well. We looked and found the best baby books for girls.

Best Books for Baby Girls
I discovered this jewel of a book last year I cried like a baby the first time I read it and it has become my go-to book selection for any newborn regardless of gender. But it’s a great one for older kids too.
The story is a wonderful look at the world and how it nurtures us. It’s a pick for the best baby books because it is a keepsake you’ll cherish forever.
I love the fact that this book has no words because it allows you and your child to make up the story together. Flora and the Flamingo dance together.
Your child can not only flip the pictures and dance with Flora. When you are done, you can put on some music and dance with your little one. This is one of our favorite interactive picture books.

This story about believing has beautifully illustrated pages saturated with color. Uni believes that girls are real despite what everyone else thinks and somewhere a little girl believes in her too.
This charming story is perfect for filling heads with imagination and magic. It is perfect for a list of baby books for girls.
Every girl has a favorite item they just can’t live without. For the little girl in this story, it’s a dress. As the girl grows, the dress becomes a t-shirt, a tank top, a skirt, and more until, finally, she finds a creative solution to wear it every day.
The momma of the baby girl in question has some excellent style. I think she will love this satire of the fashion industry as much as her little one.
The Devil Wears Prada meets the animal kingdom in this charming tale about believing in your dreams and never giving up! We love this pick from baby books for girls.

Classic Books for Baby Girls
I love that this book is about a father and his son. The baby bunny is talking about how much he loves his dad who tells the baby bunny how much he loves him in return. “I love you to the moon and back”. Truer words are hard to find. We cannot think of a more perfect Father’s Day picture book.
The words of this book run through my head and I cannot read it to my kids without crying at the end. I adore this book for 2-year-olds about the unconditional love a mother has for her child. “I’ll love you forever, I’ll like you for always, As long as I’m living, my baby you’ll be.”
